A new partnership for Codeminers

Umbraco Partner

Here at Codeminers, we’ve been working in the web development arena for longer than we can remember, and our team have more than 20 years experience in building bespoke websites on a variety of platforms, working with brands such as Fuller’s Brewery, the Professional Footballers Association and Eon. However, our latest achievement is one that’s a little closer to home for a large portion of our team.

We’re happy to announce that Codeminers are now Certified Umbraco Partner agency!

It’s safe to say that it’s a development that we’re thrilled about!

What is Umbraco?

Umbraco is an open-source content management system (CMS), created to make the user experience as simple as possible for the entirety of your team.

Unlike any other system, Umbraco arrives out of the box with the capabilities to integrate it into your website as prominent as you want or need it, meaning that you can make the front end of your website exactly as you want it.

What does it mean for you?

The web development arena is a constantly changing and evolving industry and our brand new partner status means that we have unprecedented access to a range of benefits, including brand new training courses so that we can implement new features into your website, as well as access to exclusive partner news ahead of their public releases, amongst others.

However, our favourite feature of the partnership is that we’ll now be able to offer exclusive discounts to our new clients building their websites on Umbraco who wish to host on the cloud!

Why our clients love Umbraco

There are a multitude of CMS & CRM platforms out there that you can choose from to build your website, but many of our clients opt for Umbraco thanks to the huge amount of capabilities on offer.

Some key features of Umbraco include:

  • Complete control over all of your content
  • Schedule publishing and unpublishing of your content
  • Fully responsive design and editing
  • Multi-language capabilities

A question we’re regularly asked is ‘Umbraco vs. WordPress – what is the real difference?’ Umbraco is the CMS of choice for those who are looking for a secure platform to work on; systems such as WordPress suffer regular security attacks based on their more basic set up (remember, WordPress was originally set up as a blogging platform!).

Furthermore, WordPress sites are reliant on the user installing external plugins to enable functionality such as contact forms, pricing tables and improving SEO – all of which are really useful, until they break, and your site functionality is out into the hands of the plugin developer. With a Umbraco site, the majority of the functionality you require is available out of the box, however, if you have any specific requirements, we can work with you to develop and code bespoke modules.

If you still need a helping hand with choosing your next CMS, we’ve collated some of our top tips here.

We’re so proud to be certified Umbraco partners, and we can’t wait to start applying some new knowledge and tools to our upcoming projects, including our very own website! (Watch this space!…)
